Moments like these come less often than I want to. The ambiance is never in total silence as you can hear the voice of mother nature.
It was a wet day at the open museum in Alsace. I don't know why I could not take my eyes away from this view. I wish I have this in my backyard.
We had a good accommodation in Lyngseidet wherein every morning we were greeted by the fjords. It is a small town, administrative centre for Lyngen which is known for off-piste skiing. One morning, we climbed up the hill, exploring Lyngseidet. Up the hill, it was quiet. We didn't meet anyone. It was a Sunday. It was just us wandering around and playing on a swing.
At one point, Vltava was made to flow down small steps, thus created a loud gushing sound of water. As I go further upstream, the noise faded away and I was offered this view.
During a walking trip in Linz, Germany, we climbed up a small hill and were presented the view of the small town and Rhine. Sitting on the bench with a hot chocolate gazing at the scene would have made my day.
A couple of friends brought me to this place. It was a cold, windy day. The castle was already closed. We walked towards the edge together. Only us. Not far from us were some cows grazing the grass.
It took us awhile to get down to this place. Grund (Statgrond) is situated in a valley, Ville Basse. We didn't have the map with us, so we were a bit lost in the beginning. The view of it from above the gorge was a pulling factor for us to find our way down. We were not disappointed.
I had a few hours to kill before taking the train to Bourges to meet a friend. I walked to Coulée verte René-Dumont, a long and narrow elevated park built on what was once a railway track. As it was winter time, the vegetation was not spruced with bright colours. Nevertheless, it was an interesting place to be in. Once in a while, I met people walked around or jogged passed me, zooming away.
Heidelberg is a beautiful town. This is a view of the river valley from the historical bridge. When we there, it was raining in the town area but was snowing at the top of Königstuhl, a hill in the Odenwald Mountains.
There were quite a few visitors when we were in Real Alcázar. However, I liked this corridor with the hanging plant flowing down to its side. I waited for opportunity when no one was around to snap the photo.
A cruise in Loch Ness included a stop at Urquhart Castle. We explored on our own for a short time before boarding the next boat back. While cruising the Loch Ness, I hoped to catch a glimpse of Nessie, the legendary Loch Ness monster. However, I have to content in taking photo with its replica.
